All I want for Christmas is you.

Hello lovelies!

I'll start this blogpost with a Merry Christmas to you all and I hope you all enjoyed the festive season! We didn't have much snow here in London, only a bit of sleet near the middle of December but hopefully we'll have some in the new year.

I was having a bored day today, as you do, and after ages of searching the most random things into Google (funny cats being one of them) I came across quite a cool website where you could see your name in Japanese. I discovered I'm Hasegawa Chiaki and that Cara is Shimizu Michiyo. I have to say though that Cara's one sounds much nicer than mine. :') You can try it yourself here.

I also went shopping on boxing day and managed to buy myself a bottle of shampoo. Yes, a bottle of SHAMPOO. This doesn't come as a shocker to me seeing as I seem to buy a new bottle every time I go shopping. Its just because I never seem to find my perfect shampoo. :( Although so far alberto balsam has proved to be the best for my hair type.

I hope you got everything you wanted for Christmas lovelies! I managed to sly myself into getting a video camera from zee parents.

This one is pretty cool and compact, and it takes pictures too! I'm planning on bringing it to the One Direction concert which is in less than two weeks!
Hope you all enjoy the rest of your Winter break!

Best wishes,
x

Pages turning, Lights are burning.

Hi there chickies!

I'm sure most of you will highly agree that winter has arrived, and i'm not enjoying the bitter coldness one bit! Having said that, most of the christmas decorations are up in my house and christmas is the only thing on my mind! I've been searching high and low for the perfect knitted garment to keep cosy for the frosty season, and lets be honest, every girl needs one. Heres a few favourites of mine that i've specially picked out, although if it were my way and I had all the money in the world I would already own 93827495922.

Jumper from H&M.

I saw this beauty whilst out shopping last week but unfortunately didn't have enough money on me, *cry* however, i'm one of them people that struggles to have the patience to save up and I was desperate to come home from shopping having purchased something, so I instead brought another jumper from H&M which is showcased near the end of the blog!

Jumper from River Island.

This pattern feels so festive to me and gorgeous. A smidge pricier for £35.00 but in my opinion, it looks pretty worth it.

Cardigan from New Look.

I'm besotted with this pattern on knitted items and the dark wine red colour is to die for and perfect for winter. At £27.99 I reckon its a pretty decent price compared to similar garments from places like topshop, and im definitely going to put my patience to the test for this because I love it!

Not the best photography, I blame both the camera and my lack of photography skills! Anyways, I'm wearing a jumper from H&M at £15.00, high waisted shorts from New Look at £15.00 and opaque tights from little old M&S! The outfits not really accessorized but i'm obsessed with wearing this jumper! Its beyond comfortable and still pretty despite it being plain.
And to finish off this blogpost, please would you go and take a look at totalfashionjunkie.blogspot.com?! Amy, the owner, recently moved there from ismellfashion.blogspot.com and her blogposts are amazing!

Hope you all have a very merry Christmas!
Lots of love,
the blonde one.

We found love in a hopeless place.

Hi beauties!

Hope you've all had a good week, and also hope you all enjoyed Hollys recent blog about her beauty pageant, I can't explain my jealousy of sitting at home in my jammies whilst she was out in blackpool getting glitzy for the show! But I know she did me and many of our dedicated readers proud.

Sincere apologies for not blogging in forever! Its been a mixture of coursework (bleurgh!) and I hadn't brought anything to show off! I've finally got a few bits though and got round to blogging, so here we are... I managed to bag myself two free lipstain pens from maybelline, you get a free one when you spend £10 or more on maybelline products. I absolutely love them! I've been meaning to try some lipstain pens, in particular revlons just bitten, but I needed a new foundation and I trust maybelline so I thought, what the heck.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstain in Wink Of Pink and Tender Rose.

I brought these lipstains yesterday and tried them the instant I got home, I love them! Being the picky girl I am, i'm not keen on sticky lipgloss, I hate lipsticks as they dry out my lips too much, and quite frankly I was getting bored of wearing just lipbalm. The tender pink one is as its described in the name; its sweet and not too bright for the day, whereas the other one is slighty darker, more for going out on the razzle, hehe! My only concern with these lipstains is that they may dry out too quickly, but only time will give me a conclusion!

Maybelline New York Pure Mineral Foundation in Ivory.

Like many other girls, i'm still on the search for the perfect foundation, but this one comes pretty close in my opinion! I always come to dilemas with foundations I buy - they're either too thick, dry up on my face or just rub off. I liked the look of this foundation because it contains minerals and claims to be good for your face; I also found the liquid was not too thin but not too thick, I like my foundation to look natural and I absolutely deteste thick cakey foundations. I only brought this yesterday and I had a party in the evening, so I decided to put it to the test. It was lovely! It felt great on my skin and pretty much stayed in place for the night, so i'd say it was money well spent.

Excuse my big lips! Here i'm wearing the lipstain in tender rose; its not a huge burst of colour, but I like that its subtle and something I could wear to school.

Sorry for the lack of blogging yet again, I will try to be more daily though! It still fazes me how some bloggers can blog a different outfit every day - how much money do you own?! Also, me and Holly have made a buddingbeauties offical twitter which you can follow us at @buddingbeauties yippie!

lots and lots of love!

Lets get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France...

Woah.
My last blog entry was more than a month ago? That's a long time, and my only excuse is that I've just been so busy!

Firstly I have to mention the pageant! Cara has mentioned it a couple of times in previous posts and now I've 'been there, done that' so I'm back to tell you all about it! Its a pageant called Miss Teen Great Britain...

Day one was the journey there, of course we had to take the train because getting stuck in traffic on the motorway for five hours surprisingly didn't sound very attractive to us. The finals were held in Blackpool so erm, yeah, thats quite a while away from London!

For the opening round I wore a short silver dress from yes, you guessed it; £10 off ebay.

Sorry about the massive 'ME' in the picture above. I really do look like I have one leg in this picture. For the record; I don't.

For the fashion round I wore a dress from joebrowns.com that I got for Christmas. Unfortunately I couldn't find the dress anywhere on the website because they don't sell it anymore but I do strongly recommend Joe Browns as the clothes and pieces on there are so beautiful and original. Everything they sell on there is so unique and I love it!!

Fashion round.
Before you ask... no, I wasn't eating my hair in that picture. One of my faults from the evening was wearing those tights, making my legs look incredibly pale.
You can just about see my number on my wrist there. I was number one which meant I had to go on first for every round, just my luck. It was because I was representing Barnet and B happens to be quite high up in the alphabet!

Finally, for the evening wear round I wore a long green dress from Coast at Debenhams for £110. It was simple but elegant, juuuuust how I like it.

I'm the one on the left.

Unfortunately, I didn't win anything but I did get to the top 60 out of 300 so I'm still happy, and I managed to bag a few goodies for getting into the finals! :D

Heres another picture from the weekend:

I'm at the front with the black bag.

Also, I just want to say thank you to all our lovely readers and comments! We read them all and try our best to reply to each and every one of them.

Best wishes,

<3

Some new bits, bobs and shobs.

Hey guys!
Sincere apologies for not blogging in foreverrrrr, one of the reasons for not blogging is because me and Holly have just started year 10, which means GCSES's, yaaaay. and the amount of homework and coursework were doing at the moment is insane, I can't say this school years gunna be fun! If your still in school then comment your options, would be great to know what you guys have picked for your options!

I havn't been clothes shopping in a while, and I gotta admitt this is more of a beauty blog. I have got a few bits i'd like to share with you guys though. Before I give you my beauty reviews though, I HAVE to show you the dollybowbow necklaces me and Holly brought recently.

Friendship necklaces - £12 for both from Dollybowbow. (amazing online shop!)

I've bragged about these necklaces and the website their from in a few blogposts, and I absolutely love mine! Unfortunately the first set of necklaces got lost in the post which was annoying, but the lovely owner was kind enough to send another pair to us. thanks! We also recieved them in an adorable package, and each necklace came in a little pink bag, too sweet! If you havn't already heard of dollybowbow, I strongly suggest you check it out - the jewelery they sell is gorgeous and the prices are quite reasonable, goooo!

Face mask - £5.50 from Lush cosmetics.

Lush is one of my favourite skin care shops ever, and if you read our blog regularly you'll know i'm a huge body shop fan already. But whilst I was out with some friends I couldn't resist taking a quick look in the shop. The people there are so friendly and helpful too, and I eventually ended up with this face mask! I've used this mask now around 5 times, and I think its made quite a nice improvement to my skin. Its also given it quite a nice glow too, although i'd say it only had one disadvantage. The product contains garlic and tea tree oil, and the smell is quite vile. I'd definately buy it again, but you do have to keep it on for five to ten minutes, and its not exactly the nicest smell. If you have a local Lush by you, have a sniff and you be the decider!

Barry M nail polish in mint green - £3 from superdrug and all good drug stores.

I also brought my very first barry m nail polish the other day, so obviously i'm quite chuffed! I got it in mint green, a colour i've been wanting for ages, and my collection will definately be growing quickly!

Bracelet - £5 from New Look.
This bracelet is absolutely beautiful and I reckon I got it at a pretty good price, can always count on new look for affordable, cute jewelery!

Me beautiful brouges! £15 from New Look.

Again, sorry for not blogging for ages and for shoving alot of random bits into the blog entry, please please please continue visiting buddingbeauties! Would also like to say a HUGE GOOD LUCK to holly, she leaves for blackpool on friday and the beauty pageant shes entered begins saturday; she also gets to go to the amazing pleasure beach theme park, so jel! If your not a regular reader, holly, my best friend who I own this blog with, has made it to the finals of miss teen great britain, you can visit her at http://www.missteengreatbritain.co.uk/ now!

update photo, my nose looks hugeeeee but I liked my hair so yeah.
Much love!

Monday 22 August 2011

Held up so high, on such a breakable thread.

Hey bloggers,
Firstly I'd like to start my post with what I always start my posts with; an apology for not blogging for a while:-
sorry. :')

This week in London has had its ups and downs when it comes to weather; raining one day and sunny the next! Well, thank god it didn't rain yesterday as my sister, Emily held me a mini photoshoot in the garden and house for her photography project! The photos turned out great and I wish Emily all the luck in the world for her project.

This one is my favourite:-

Floral blouse: £10 from new look. (clearance)
High waisted shorts: £20 from new look.
Daisy headband: turkey!

Then Emily edited them, they turned out so cool!

This one is meant to portray confidence.

Also I hope everyone got the A level results they wanted! And even if not, there's always a plan b!

Best wishes,
<3

Monday 8 August 2011

your gunna catch a cold, from the ice inside your soul.

Hi fellow bloggers, and thanks for strolling over to our blog!
Sorry for the lack of blogging lately, I find myself apologizing about that alot these days! Hope you've all been well, i've been trying to enjoy Londons two day summer, I love how just as its getting hot, you know that damn rains on its way to spoil it.

To the people living in London, the riots are getting ridiculous! It started off as protests, then riots, but now its sheer looting and robbing and vandalising shops. What their doing is disgusting, and I hope everybodys alright.
Today, I decided I would blog about my collection of body moisturisers! I have horribly dry skin so I like to moisturise my body everyday, and I have such a variety i'm usually spoilt for choice when it comes to picking one! Body moisturisers should, in my opinion, be an essential as it helps to prevent dry and cracked skin, and keeps our skin soft and smelling nice. Here i'll show you a few of my favourites..

Pink Grapefruit Body Puree - £8 from The Body Shop.

I think the bottle I own is a travel one that I received in my christmas stocking, it wasn't £8! If you look on the website, you'll see the £8 one is slightly bigger and consists of a pump. I'm sure you'll all agree the body shop can be pricey at times, although I swear by most of the products and trust it 101%. When I first used this product I thought it was a little sticky at first, but once i'd rubbed it all in my skin felt incredibly smooth and plump! It also gives off a lovely, summery and fresh fragrance.

Garnier Skin Naturals Summer Body Moisturising Lotion - £5.10 from Boots.

I love this lotion sooooo much! Aswel as being very moisturing to my skin, it gradually builds a lovely natural looking tan, so its perfect if your pins are looking a little pale and pasty. The lotion is also enriched with exacts of apricot, and the product also gives off a light fruity scent.

Vaseline Intensive Rescue Moisture Locking Body Lotion 200ml - £3.36 from Boots

Already being a huge fan of vaseline products, I was thrilled to spot this lotion on the shelves, and seeing as the price is quite reasonable I thought i'd grab it. They do the same lotion in a small variety of fragrances/flavours, but I decided to buy a the non-scented one, and i'd recommend this lotion to people who prefer something without fragrance and suitable for sensitive skin. Its also very moisturising and rich.

Sweet Lemon Body Butter - £5 from The Body Shop.

I adore all of the body shop body butters, simply because they're so rich with moisture and the fragrances are amazingly strong, but bearable. The sweet lemon has a lovely vibrant citrus scent, also perfect for summer.

I'm a complete sucker for these body shop body butters, mmm!

Before I finish off, I wanted to quickly bring up dollybowbow.com. You guys may have read about it on buddingbeauties or may well already have heard of it, and me and Holly thought the jewellery on there was amazingly gorgeous. We decided to buy some friendship necklaces off there, although we still haven't received them and its been well over the time period they should arrive. Others may have had better experiences with dollybowbow, although I can say now me and Holly aren't impressed.

Hi guys, i'm pleased to say that Holly recieved an email from dollybowbow after sending a complaint, in which the owner wrote that the package was sent but assumes it must have been lost in the post, and she has sent a replacement yesterday. I'm going to keep my original review although it clearly wasn't her fault so I felt this needed to be said. We look forward to showing off our necklaces when they arrive!

I got my own life and I bought everything thats in it...

Hey bloggers,
Sorry I haven't blogged in what seems like months now! I'm not sure why I haven't been blogging but its probably got something to do with how busy I've been lately!

Firstly, I would like to talk you guys through my outfit to prompty (if confused read cara's last post).
My dress: £30 from Lipsy (SALE)
My necklace: Borrowed from Cara, from New Look.
I have been looking on loads of online stores lately and I've found so many cute things! Have a browse...

Shorts - £12.99 from New Look.

Shorts - £32.00 from Top Shop.
I love a good old pair of denim shorts, and I dwell on the idea of high waisted shorts, their so much more stylish and creative. Me and Cara have been looking round for these sort of high waisted shorts for ages and when we found the New Look pair, I think we both practically squealed inside! As much as I love them Top Shop ones, their waaaaay out of our price range. I'm imagining that this'll go well with a huge variety of different vest tops this summer! Speaking of summer, i'm literally praying these last few days that the summer holidays are actually going to be SUNNY, acknowledging the recent rainy days londons been having.

...Earrings, stay prim and pretty!

..
These are also from new look for £4.99 and if I were to get them I would be spoilt for choice on which ones to wear! One for each outfit! :)

Also the big sales are on at the high street stores at the moment, guys! Sunglasses for £1 at newlook, which is fantastic as I completely prefer them to the £1 ones at primark. And you should also check out the topshop website cause the summer sale is now on!

title lyrics - pussy cat dolls I don't need a man.

Best wishes,
xxx

PS: keep commenting and following guys, its always appreciated! Also, me and Cara will be sure to do an outfit post soon so keep watching, we've just been kinda broke lately. ;) gosh, clothes can be expensive!

Wednesday 20 July 2011

Its too cold outside, for angels to fly.

Helloooo, fellow readers!
For those of you who are reading and attend school, your sure to be excited that the summer holidays are about to start, yaaaaaaaay! unfortunately for me, when the summer holidays are over i'm gunna be faced with completing GCSE's, so better make the most of this summer.

Me and Holly had our prompty on Monday, which was very exciting! Its something we do at our school, combining the words 'prom' and 'party' to form 'prompty', which acts as a pre-prom kinda thing. Its obviously not going to be a patch of the prom we'll have in Year 11, but still it was amazing!

My dress: £55.00 from Lipsy.
My shoes: £24.99 from New Look.

You can briefly see the bag I had in the first picture, which was £12.99 from New Look.

I'm also wearing a little necklace from Tiffanys, although I don't know the price as it was a gift last Christmas. I'm sure Holly will explain the details of her outfit in her next blog post! Anywho, the overall night was lots of fun, I was surprised at how much I danced, although I regretted it the next morning when I woke up with sore feet!

Heres a few bits and bobs I absolutely adore right now..

Dress - £48.00 from Topshop.
Bracelet - £6.99 from Newlook.
Earrings - £5.00 from Miss Selfridges.
Playsuits - £22.99 and £17.99 from New Look.

As you may have caught on by now, I LOOOOVEEEEE floral stuff! I just thought these few little bits were utterly gorgeous and cute, clothes can be so expensive these days though!

To finish off, i'd just like to bring up the bracelets that I wore and showed to you all in my previous blogpost, they were pearls and roses and I mentioned that i'd brought them from Wallis a while ago and was unsure on the price, but heyho, I managed to discover that New Look are also selling them!

These gorgeous bracelets are priced at £5.99, when I purchased these from Wallis they didn't come with the other bracelets, although I can assure these and the ones I own are identical!

title lyrics - ed sheeran the a team.

Take care, and keep following buddingbeauties!
